Tater Tot Pizza Casserole
Ingredients:
1 pound (450g) ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 cup (240ml) pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
1/4 cup chopped red onion (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Season the beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and basil. Stir in the pizza sauce and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese over the beef mixture.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese over the tater tots, followed by the pepperoni slices and optional toppings (black olives, bell pepper, red onion).
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
