 Apple Dumplings


Ingredients:

- 4 medium-sized apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

- 1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

- 1 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Syrup:

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup water

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter

- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

2. Peel and core the apples, cut them as desired.

3. Unroll the crescent roll dough, place an apple slice on each triangle.

4. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, drizzle over apples.

5. Fold dough over apples, seal edges, place in baking dish.

6. Combine sugar, water, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan to make syrup.

7. Pour syrup over dumplings in dish.

8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and tender.

9. Let cool slightly and drizzle with remaining syrup.
