Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
A comforting and cheesy side dish with layers of tender potatoes, garlic, and rich cream topped with golden cheese.
Ingredients :
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
1 cup heavy cream.
4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced.
1/2 cup milk.
2 cloves garlic, minced.
2 tablespoons butter.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Fresh parsley for garnish.
Cooking Directions :
1. Begin by setting your oven to 375°F (190°C) and apply a layer of butter to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. Lay down half of the potato slices in the greased dish, sprinkle with half of the minced garlic, some salt, and pepper, then add half of the cheddar cheese.
3. Warm up the heavy cream with milk in a small pan over low heat, then pour half of this blend over the potatoes in the dish.
4. Add another layer using the remaining potatoes, garlic, seasoning, cheese, and cream mixture.
5. Cover the dish with foil and bake it for 45 minutes. Take off the foil and continue baking for another 15 to 20 minutes until the top achieves a golden, bubbly texture.
6. Decorate with fresh parsley and serve while warm.
