- 1 package (12 rolls) King's Hawaiian sweet rolls

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened

- ½ cup powdered sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 egg yolk

- ½ cup fresh pineapple, crushed (optional for topping)

- 1 egg (for egg wash)

- Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth and creamy.

3. Slice the tops off each King’s Hawaiian roll and carefully hollow out a little of the bread inside to make room for the cheesecake filling.

4. Fill each roll with the cream cheese mixture, making sure to not overfill.

5. If using, top with crushed pineapple for added flavor.

6. Beat the egg and brush the tops of the filled rolls with the egg wash for a golden finish.

7. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy your sweet creation!
