Upside-Down Banana Pecan Caramel Bar
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 ripe bananas, sliced
1 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup caramel sauce
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Arrange the banana slices and pecan halves evenly on top of the batter.
Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the bananas and pecans.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
