Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the eggs, milk, and melted butter.
Mix the Dough:
Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour; if too dry, add a bit more milk.
Knead the Dough:
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
Rest the Dough:
Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Roll Out the Dough:
Divide the dough into two portions for easier handling. On a floured surface, roll each portion out to about 1/8 inch thickness.
Cut the Noodles:
Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the dough into strips of your desired width (usually about 1/4 inch for traditional egg noodles).
Dry the Noodles:
Lay the noodles out on a floured surface or a drying rack. Allow them to dry for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
Cook the Noodles:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook for 2-4 minutes, or until they float and are tender. Drain well.
Serve:
Serve the noodles with your favorite sauce, in soups, or as a side dish. Enjoy!
