 Asiago Creamed Chicken with Mushrooms




Ingredients:


2 chicken breasts

1 cup mushrooms (sliced)

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup grated Asiago cheese

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp fresh thyme

Salt and pepper to taste


Directions:


Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook for 6-7 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add butter and mushrooms. Sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.

Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in grated Asiago cheese and thyme. Let the sauce thicken for 3-4 minutes.

Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the creamy sauce. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes.

Serve immediately with your choice of sides!
