Steak and Cheese Garlic Toast
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/3 cup white onions, sliced
8-10 slices green bell pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup steak, heaping (sliced)
4 slices provolone cheese
Kraft mayo
Olive oil
Cracked black pepper
2 slices French bread or Texas toast
Butter
Instructions:
Heat the Olive Oil: In a pan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced white onions and cook for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
Add Vegetables and Garlic: Add the green bell pepper slices, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms to the pan. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook the Steak: Add the sliced steak to the pan with the vegetables. Cook until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness. Season with additional salt and cracked black pepper if desired.
Prepare the Bread: Butter the outside of each slice of French bread or Texas toast. Spread Kraft mayo on the inside of each slice.
Assemble the Toast: Place two slices of provolone cheese on the inside of each slice of bread. Add the cooked steak and vegetable mixture in between the slices.
Grill the Toast: Grill the assembled sandwich in a pan or on a griddle over medium heat. Cook until the cheese is melted and gooey, and the bread is crispy and browned on both sides.
Serve and Enjoy: Once grilled to perfection, remove from heat, slice in half if desired, and enjoy your delicious Steak and Cheese Garlic Toast!
