Filet Mignon with Creamy Parmesan Mustard Sauce
Ingredients:
4 filet mignon steaks (6 oz each)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp whole grain mustard
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp paprika
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Season filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, and paprika. Cook until the sauce thickens (about 3-4 minutes).
Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes:
Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness and preferred doneness.
Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
