Crispy and savory fried stuffed potatoes balls
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and boiled
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or chicken
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
1. Prepare the Potatoes: Mash the boiled potatoes until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside to cool.
2. Cook the Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic until softened. Add in the cooked ground beef or chicken, paprika, cumin, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.
3. Form the Balls: Take a handful of the mashed potatoes and flatten it in your palm. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center and carefully shape the potatoes around it to form a ball. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
4. Coat the Balls: Dip each potato ball into the beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
5. Fry the Balls: Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the potato balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
6. Serve: Serve the fried stuffed potato balls hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
